Students will memorize a monologue and present it to the class

Working in a group with five members, create a television news video. Include local, national, and international news, science /technology, weather, sports, entertainment and a commercial to the show. The team may produce the news inside a studio or with reporters.

Create a menu. You must give your restaurant a name and create the menu. The menu should include at least 5 complete choices for each of the sections of the menu: appetizer, set menu,side menu, desserts and drinks. The menu should be visually pleasing with easily identifiable headings, prices, and pictures.

In this assignment, you will be researching either your own culture or a culture that interests you and creating a collage. In this collage you will need to include images from the internet or online sources and images or art from newspapers, magazines, or something hand-drawn. You will then need to give a 2-5 minute presentation about what you learned about this culture, why you picked it, and what you would still like to know.

The student will demonstrate his/her knowledge of and ability to analyze and identify the mood in a poem.

Students will create an alphabet book. Each letter will be represented with a description & picture of something that starts with the corresponding letter.

Students create a science model, and present their model. The model should be based on a scientific concept that is based on a topic of the student's choosing.

Students will create a presentation using Prezi in which they provide information on things such as (but not limited to), the slave trade, colonization, the constitution, the different work of slaves. Students will use images, animation, short videos, and their creativity to explore and explain this topic.

Students will be interviewed for their first potential job when they graduate from college. This rubric scores that interview.

Students research careers, colleges, conduct personal interviews, and complete a job shadowing assignment. Students create a resume, cover letter, application, participate in mock job interviews, a post-interview Thank You note,and a personal plan for reaching their career goal. Total Possible Points: 150

Student must design a healthy lunch menu for the week at their school that includes a little of everything from the food pyramid. Grains, vegetables, fruits, dairy, proteins, and drinks. Student will present to the class their idea of a healthy menu for the school week.
