This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your Prezi presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the Prezi presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint/prezi have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

The students are to create a useful simple machine with 1 or more simple machine. The students will also be able to explain orally how their machine functions and why it is useful.

The students will design their own simple machine invention to present during their oral presentation. The invention must be of something that is new and it must contain at least 3 of the 6 simple machines: Lever, Pulley, Wheel and Axle, Screw, Wedge, and Inclined Plane. Their invention must be somethinbg that will make the job easier.

General Math Rubric

Students will create a model to demonstrate their understanding of elements, compounds, and mixtures.

Students will be selecting an animal and research the unique characteristics about this animal. Students will be writing an informative essay about their animal. The essay should describe where their animal lives, what their animal eats, what their animal looks like, and other interesting facts about the animal they choose. Students should be prepared to answer questions about their animal from their peers.

Students will make a life cycle poster or models of an animal, either insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, fish and mammals Students will tell the stages of the life cycle. Each life cycle stage should include a picture and facts.

Middle Ages/Renaissance Research Presentation

Students will build a car from any materials that are available

The students will put together a brochure. The brochure will contain information about their chosen novel.
