Map Project
Specific Expectation: Students will create a map of the migration of early man to show the relative positions of each group as man spread out to inhabit the earth. Students will use a world map to label and draw the routes taken by early man.
Grade levels:

Board Game and Final Project
Create a board game that reflects aspects of the entire novel. Questions that show insight will earn higher marks than those that are simply recall questions. Your board game can be based on one that is already in existence such as Monopoly or Trivial Pursuit. The final project should include connections between the novel and other real world or fictional experiences, luminated plot points that show the plot progression, a list of vocabulary words from the novel and their definitions and character charts that reflect the major characters from the novel.

Cereal Box Book Report
Students will read a fiction or non fiction and create a book report using a cereal box. The box must be covered with a light colored construction paper, decorated based on the book, and include an artifact that they may make based on the story.
