Choose a children's story to illustrate (eg. Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel). Write or summarize the story in your own words (due 4/6). Then create a book out of 3 pieces of paper folded in half and stapled together in the middle. Divide your story into six sections, and write in the book. Then create 6 illustrations to go along with the story. Remember to create a title page (include color and be creative). Final project is due 4/8.

Using styrofoam cones, cut the cones into conic sections (parabola, circle, ellipse, hyperbola). Attached to each other using tooth picks. Write the equation of each conic section next to the cross-section. Paint/ color/ decorate your cone.

Students will research information on a mathematician and illustrate concepts and information in a creative, appealing, and easy to understand poster.

Please write and conduct a statistical survey. Please do not use yes or no questions. Analyze the results of your data sample following the directions on p. 65 in America's Choice. Display your data on a poster.

Work on your own to create a poster on solutions of equations. You should solve a system of equations graphically, and algebraically, using substitution and elimination. Make sure you organize your information so that your poster is easy to understand. Attach your rubric to the finished poster. Be creative and use color!

Students will create a family tree that will extend back for three generations.

Rough draft of your blueprint is due 5/9. After your draft is approved, you may transfer it to a poster board for your final project (due 5/12).

Visit www.ionfuture.org and research to find out the answer to these questions. Present your findings in a PowerPoint or Powtoon Presentation. Be prepared to share your findings with the class.
