The purpose of this unit is to facilitate student learning about the world in which we live. Students will receive a 'International Travel Packet' packet to complete. The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit a minimum of 3 countries for 2-5 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their chosen countries. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research, books and travel brochures in order to be able to answer questions about their chosen countries resources, culture, government, religion, geography, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and write a travel diary about their country and then present a brief 10-15 minute presentation to their classmates to go with their research.

Create a travel brochure for when you plan to visit Germany. Develop a total cost FIT itinerary for yourself. This total cost itinerary includes all transportation (from flights to ground), accommodations and tourists attractions. See course outline for instructions.

The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit a minimum of 3 cities in 2 or more French-speaking European countries for 2-5 days each and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their chosen countries. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research, books and travel brochures in order to be able to answer questions about their chosen countries' culture, government, religion, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and create a comprehensive itinerary in French (French III) or English (French II) for the trip. This itinerary will then be presented to the class.

Create a brochure or poster to describe and present a trip to a Spanish speaking country. You should use the trip vocabulary, as well as the future and conditional verb tenses in your presentation.

Act as a travel agent and design an itinerary for a tour.

Student will be able to engage with different types of customers and deliver excellent service via the appropriate response.

The students are required to make some telephone conversation to the travel agent.
