Body System Interactive Bulletin Board
Students work in groups to research a human body system, describe it's function, the main organs or body parts involved and a major disease or illness associated with that system. Students will describe how this system interacts with other body systems. Groups will give an oral presentation using a variety of different presentation strategies. The presentation must include all key facts about the system, be creatively displayed, include ways that other students can interact within the lesson.

My Integers Comic Strip
Drawing by hand, each student will create a comic strip to show their understanding of adding and subtracting integers. They will include the appropriate math vocabulary in the comic strip dialog. Students will create their comic strip to explain the though process involved in adding and subtracting integers.

Poetry Anthology Rubric
Poetry Portfolio: This project is the final assessment in the unit of Poetry. This is a two week task wherein students compile original poetry (written by them) as well as chosen poems of existing poems, that showcase the use of imagery, sound effects and rhyming. Types of poems included are:Tercet, Acrostic, Cinquain, Haiku, Senryu, Concrete Poem, Free Verse, Limerick will all presented in one portfolio.

6E Group Presentation/Colonization of the Americas
Students must present and teach their section of Chapter 4, detailing events leading to colonization of North America. They must have an organized plan on paper that explains how they will teach important points to the class. They must include an educational presentation , as well as a visual aid or handout to the class. Teacher is looking for creative and in-depth teaching of each lesson.

Students are to create a movie trailer, advertising the classic novel Island of the Blue Dolphins to their classmates. They will be evaluated by said students at a Movie Trailer Marathon, in which the students vote for their favorite trailer for each category (text).
