Smoothie Take Home Assignment
Students will prepare a nutrient analysis on the smoothie recipe of their choice. Students must consider the ingredients included in the chosen recipe and using their knowledge of the 6 key nutrients, analyze 3 nutrients that could be found within the beverage. Through consultation with outside sources, students will describe all 3 nutrients, their function, other sources and provide an explaination as to why they are important to consume in maintaining a healthy diet.
