You will design a "comic style" book on simple machines. Your comic will need to include at least 3 simple machines and their functions. You should include how these simple machines make work easier. You need to have a title page, colorful illustrations, captions describing what is happening in your story, and possibly word bubbles. This comic book should be neat and creative. You also need to invent a compound machine in this story that should be made up of at least 2 simple machines. You can have the simple machines interacting with the compound machine you have invented. Have fun with this assignment! Use proper spelling and be very neat, please.

I have also attached a rubric so you know exactly what you will be graded on and point values.

Your math notebook will be collected periodically to be graded on the following five categories: Organization, Class notes, Returned Work, and Accuracy. Every notebook check will be out of 100 points.

Students need to pick a virus or bacteria and complete a research report on it. Students will also need a visual to accompany the report.

Write a letter addressed to President Franklin D. Roosevelt explaining the causes of the Great Depression, making him aware of the hardships of the Great Depression, and a solution you have in mind to make it better in America.

Students must create a model of an animal or plant cell that accurately represents the organelles and locations of the organelles that help the cell function.

Scholars have been asked to help Mrs. Darrington by creating a simple machine mini-book for her class. Scholars must define each simple machine, describe how each makes work easier, and draw an illustration of each simple machine. Scholars need to be aware of the audience and their mini-book must contain a cover with title, a clear introduction, as section for each simple machine, and conclusion. Due Wednesday, November 18th.
