Writing prompt: Pick a short story that has left a lasting impression on you.

From the 6 titles you were presented you are to choose 3 readings and answer the 9 questions in this rubric for each reading. Use the packet or number a paper #1-#9. 3 separate completed papers or packets are due the 1st week of school.

Students write an essay explaining the reasons why "The Outsiders" is an apt name for the book. They use quotes from the novel to support their thesis.

This rubric will be used to grade your podcasts project.

Students will present evidence supporting the theme of alienation in Frankenstein with the following characters: Victor Frankenstein, the creature, and Robert Walton

Emerson was the Philosopher and “Nature” was called the bible for Transcendentalism; while Thoreau was someone that actually took the movement to heart and lived it.
