A Model of Our Solar System
Students will take their knowledge of our solar system and create a 3D model of it. The planets should be in the correct order and be relatively proportioned to each other (Mars should not be bigger than Jupiter). The sun should be included. All planets should be clearly labeled in some way. Each student will have to present their project to the class, so they should come prepared to discuss how their 3-D solar system model was created and be able to discuss the solar system and planets.

African Country Brochure Due March 1, 2022
Students will choose an African country and develop a detailed brochure based on research conducted in class. Students will present facts about their chosen country’s resources, culture, government, religion, geography, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After students have gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and develop a three fold brochure about their country.

European Explorer iMovie Due: Nov. 29th 5G & Nov. 30th 5B
Create a 3-4 minute iMovie on the European explorer assigned. Include a biography of explorer, the country that sponsored his voyage, the purpose of the voyage, and what was accomplished. Interesting Information: Write a paragraph, which contains interesting information you learned from your research. Use a world map to trace the individual explorer’s voyage. Please include the map in the iMovie. All countries involved should be labeled.Please list resources used and use your own words.

Social Studies Video on the Taino Influence on Jamaica
Students will create a " video" that will be 3 to 5 minutes in length. It will consist of creating a newscast with anchors and reporters discussing the Taino Influence in Jamaica.
