For Black History /Women's History Months, the student is to research a chosen African-American or woman, and then type a 2 page report about the important historical figure. This biography includes information about the person's life, what led them to their chosen career or purpose, what contributions they made to society, interesting or unique facts about the person, and the student's own reflections about why they would like to have the same profession as their chosen African American

Students will research an inventor and create a poster to present to class from an inventor in the 1900s

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

Students will create a food web consisting of organisms found in the Woodlands ecosystem. Each student must name the organisms, and show the flow of energy in the food web.

Write an information report on the assigned landform. You must include a 3 page written report that will include facts and information about the specific landform and(no typing) & 3 printed pictures of the landform (no drawings). Include any other interesting information.

Students will need to draw or print a picture of a dinosaur and also write five facts about the dinosaurs.

Students will create a bar graph by taking a poll using a favorite topic of their choice. (ex. restaurant, pizza, ice cream, sport, video game, tv show, movie, etc.) Students must poll at least 20 people to collect the data for their graph.

Include any other interesting information. Make sure to include a cover.

Use arrays and models to develop understanding of multiplication, also using the associative, commutative, & distributive multiplication properties

Student will be able to recite multiplication tables 3, 4, & 6 (x12)

Students solve 3-digit addition and subtraction problems and identify the strategy used and why they chose that strategy

Students will choose at least 3 shapes and 3 colors to draw a repeating pattern.

Students will read their Flat Stanley book & choose 4 chapters to write about. They must also include a cover with the title, author, & picture.

Students will write a report about the country Flat Stanley visited in the book they read. Include at least 5 facts and 2 or more pictures about their country.
