FCAT Science Vocabulary Project
Students are to create a vocabulary book that demonstrates their understanding of the following words: sustainability, equity, green chemistry, zero waste, closed loop production, renewable energy, local living economies. All words must be described in the context discussed in class & from class videos. (i.e. link words to interactions in our environment) Be sure everything is put in your own words. Everything should be stated as simply yet as specifically as possible. (don't be vague)

Ecosystem Model Project
Students are to model their ecosystem. The model should include appropriate living and non-living organisms present. It should include an appropriate description of their ecosystem including the climate, what living and non-living organisms are present, how the biotic and abiotic organisms interact,interesting facts (about interactions in one or more of the 6 levels of life and adaptations (for at least one of the organisms).

Cycles and Interactions in the Ecosystem
Create a pamphlet that describes at lease 3 cycles in the ecosystem. For each cycle explain: 1) How the cycle works? 2) Why/who is the cycle important to? (abiotic and biotic things affected by the cycle) 3) Implications: how are human actions causing problems/interfering with the cycle.
