The students will work together to create a recruitment poster for one of the regions of the original colonies (New England Colonies, Middle Colonies, or Southern Colonies). The poster will contain the name of the region, at least three images of the colony, and at least five convincing reasons why immigrants should settle in their colonial region.

A rubric for assessing essays relating to document based questions

Students are to research important events that took place during the Lewis and Clark Expedition. They are to use PowerPoint or Microsoft Word to build their timeline. The timeline must have a minimum of 10 or more events. Each event must have the name of the event, it's date, it's location, a description of the events importance / significance, and the event must be accurate. They must include an illustration for at least 5 events.

Write a report on your subject using at least two sources of information.
