Oral communication is a prepared, purposeful presentation designed to increase knowledge, to foster understanding, or to promote change in the listeners' attitudes, values, beliefs, or behaviors. Oral communication takes many forms. This rubric is specifically designed to evaluate oral presentations of a single speaker at a time and is best applied to live or video-recorded presentations. For panel presentations or group presentations, it is recommended that each speaker be evaluated separately. This rubric best applies to presentations of sufficient length such that a central message is conveyed, supported by one or more forms of supporting materials and includes a purposeful organization. An oral answer to a single question not designed to be structured into a presentation does not readily apply to this rubric.

On large paper or a poster board create two outfits, one casual and one formal. Each outfit must have a top, bottom, shoes and at least one accessory. You will present your outfits to the class in Spanish identifying the article of clothing and/or acessories and it's color.

On large paper or a poster board create a fictional family tree with atleast 6 people. Present the family tree by mentioning the relationship between the people on the family tree.

Choose a Famous person who was either born in a Spanish-speaking country or had parents who were born in a Spanish-speaking country. Research the person and write a 1 page (double spaced) report on your findings. (at least 2 sources) You will present the major information you learned about this person to the class. You may read your paper or present a powerpoint.

Choose a spanish speaking country. Write a one page double spaced paper about the country and answer questions on the guidelines. You must have at least 2 reliable sources.

Students will research the life of a famous Hispanic/Latino American. They will write a short biography about the person and decorate a poster OR do a PPT on the person. In addition, students will give an oral presentation to the class. Most importantly, have fun and BE creative!
