After reading the first five chapters of Mr. Popper's Penguins, work to accurately depict the theme of the book's beginning with a drawing. On the back of the drawing describe the picture with two-three well written sentences. Pick ten vocabulary words from the first 5 chapters from the list I provided. Write out the definitions of those vocabulary words next to your illustration.

You will build a replica of the plaster piece you currently have in the Student show at the Frick Center. You can use the same tools that you used before (such as the power sander) to finish the piece. You can also use some of the dried plaster blocks in the studio to carve from, this should save time for you. This piece must be done in the sculpture studio while I (Dustan Creech) am in the building. You can schedule time with me to meet with you out side of class as well. This piece is due May 19th
