Students will know homework expectations which would include completeness, accuracy, requirements, legibility and time management.

The students will round a given number by tens or hundreds by showing two strategies of estimation; the use of a number line and place value. Students will also explain how they arrived at the nearest ten or hundred.

Students are required to answer comprehension questions doing/after class readings. Answers must be written in complete sentences.

Students complete simple graphic organizer about character traits using evidence from the text

Construct an array, write matching multiplication and repeated addition number sentences, and write a related grouping to develop a deeper understanding of multiplication.

Students create a poster that connects math to their everyday lives.

Students will create posters explaining math problem solving strategies.

3rd grade research skills rubric.

Basic Rubric for evaluation of a single timeline or multiple timelines on the same paper.

Students will use Scholastic News to retell historical events, past and present day, using language that indicates time. Each event must have the name of the event, it's date, it's location, and a description of the events importance / significance, an image that illustrates the event, and the event must be accurate.

This rubric asses the your ability to identify events in a paragraph/chapter/story in sequential order, as well as identify and place all dates in sequential order on a timeline.

The students will be put into groups. In the groups the students will create a skit based upon Christopher Columbus's Voyage to America.
