Students will assume the role of entrepreneur. Students will select a product/service that they are passionate about and create a sales pitch. Audience must be able to identify the product, the need it fulfills, the targeted audience, the benefit and price.

Students will create a magazine advertisement using persuasive details and emotional appeals, and effective advertising techniques; complete with a slogan and word choice. Students also will provide a reflection, stating their advertisement analysis and how the product came to be. Advertisement should be for a product not normally advertised to teens. Choose HOW you want to market it and WHO you want to sell it to. Decide how best you can persuade those buyers to purchase your product.

Student created plays that demonstrate Existentialism

Students must pick a theme and detail the theme visually using images and supporting the theme by using evidence from the text. Using poster paper , magazines, internet sources, or hand-drawings, create a diagram that is neat, organized, and appropriate to convey your chosen theme.

Rubric for Lip Sync performance

Students will give a personal experience speech on a topic of their choice to their peers. They will be assessed on content and delivery.

After reading about epic heroes and learning about the archetypal hero's journey, students were to create a storyboard project in which they applied their knowledge of the hero's journey as they created an original hero and archetypal journey.

Students are expected to write an essay with seven quotations comparing and contrasting the characters of Victor Frankenstein in the elements of nature, family, knowledge, and revenge.
