Your literary analysis essay will focus on a specific character from the story. Choose one character that (in your opinion) affected the plot of the story. Think about how this character's actions or reactions, created complications or resolutions. Cite specific examples from the text to strengthen your position.

Students will research, plan, and compose a speech in which their performance will be evaluated in terms of specific standards set in class, including the clarity and completeness of your speech and the quality of your presentation in explaining your topic matter.
