Describe pivotal events experienced during the semester. Specifically, how has what you witnessed and participated in during field experience affected your life and/or thoughts about your future? You will likely want to use your journals, job descriptions, and learning contacts to aid in writing. This paper should be written in first person since it reflects your personal experiences. However, the style should also reflect a professional quality in regards to grammar, spelling, and structure.

Due 11/15 in class: Syllabus instruction: "Prepare a flyer or brochure [APA not required here] that you might post on a bulletin board OR prepare a brief insert for a newsletter/bulletin that promotes the use of this workbook. You might want to consider this from the perspective of a therapist who is offering services on either a group or individual basis. Be creative! Poster due first day of class, on the second Residency, November 15 or it can be submitted earlier by mail."

Due Tuesday, 11/12@11:55pm: Syllabus Instruction: "Read Balswick & Balswick. Choose one of the topics identified in the chapters and develop a research paper (2250-2500 words). The research paper should include appropriate references to the text. In addition, at least 3 additional articles need to be researched and referenced in your paper." Due 11/15 in class: Syllabus instruction: "Each student is to prepare a presentation that incorporates a “poster” session based on his/her research for topic chosen from the Authentic human sexuality assignment above. Be prepared to entertain questions from the class concerning your research (See Sakai for further instructions and grading rubric). Poster due first day of class, on the second Residency, November 15."

Complete the paper, as specified in the instructions of the Option you chose and the general requirements listed in Bb. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the thesis, effective use of information gained through research, correct APA formatting, credibility of sources, content, quality of writing & critical thinking, grammar and mechanics, and references.

Syllabus Instruction: "This assignment will be graded based on a brief paper (750-1000 words) that shares your thoughts regarding how comfortable you would be using these tools (assessments #2 & #6) in therapy and on how useful you think they would be (both for individuals and couples). Your paper should reference some aspects from both assessments indicating your familiarity with them."

Due Tuesday, 11/12@11:550pm: Syllabus Instruction: "Read and submit a personal critical response . . . The response may include a discussion of the issues raised, a survey of the material, questions regarding the nature of the material or personal comments on the point of view of the author and your reaction. This paper should reflect a good understanding and comprehension of the material in the book. Your paper should be a minimum of 1250 words and not exceed 2000 words.
