Nurse-client interaction video role play and analysis
With a partner, role play an interaction between nurse and client using the therapeutic communication skills that you have learned. Video record a 5-10 minute video of the interaction. The patient scenario can be of your choosing. Provide a brief description of the patient situation at the beginning of the video. Following the completion of your video, watch it back and complete a written analysis of the interaction, noting verbal and non verbal messages (were they congruent?), communication skills used (which were effective and which could be added or improved upon?), and the overall effectiveness of the nurse-client interaction.

Information on the disease should include the physiology and etiology of the condition, as well as discussion of diagnostics, nursing assessments (subjective & objective), medical management, nursing diagnosis and planning and nursing interventions & special consideration.
