The following rubric is a checklist for singing skills. In order for you and I to analyze your current vocal skills, you can choose a song from your Ipod to sing for me by yourself while you listen to the song with your earbuds. That way, you can hear the melody and sing along, but I can hear your voice and see your face and body in order to give you constructive feedback. Also, I will videotape you so that YOU ALONE can see and hear yourself as well. I will NOT show the video to your classmates. You will then complete the rubric below.

This rubric is used to assess sight-reading skills. Record your sight-singing into Garage Band or into your phone and send as a text. Then you will listen to your recording and follow along to assess your performance. Click on each appropriate box. The rubric program will give you a score. Please print out the rubric. To assess solo performance, do the same procedure with one of your recordings from your e-portfolio. Please write the name of the song choice on the top of the rubric.
