Success Criteria: A) Upon completing this assignment, you will be able to drain the motor oil from an engine and replace it with new motor oil and change the engine oil filter. B) Have been able to follow all Mitchell Automotive Repair Manual Instructions and tightening specifications.

In pairs students will conduct interviews with each other. The student acting as the patient will use the case study assigned for their role as interviewee. The student in the interviewer role is interviewing the patient to determine their learning preferences and needs. Students in the interviewer role will use their London text (pp. 23-27) for interviewer questions guidelines. The interviews done in the sim lab will be uploaded for student and seminar instructor access. Students will complete a written analysis of the tape and submit the analysis to their seminar instructor.

Research a topic of your choice. Submit a 2-3 page, double-spaced, typed paper in no larger than 12 font. Citations must be MLA, and the paper must have a works cited page, also in MLA format.

This rubric will be used to calculate your lab/shop performance points. Students who actively participate in hands on tasks earn more points. Students who stand around and watch earn the least amount of points. Students that can perform tasks compentently with minimal supervision earn more points. Students who cannot perform tasks competently earn less points. Students who are absent or arrive late to class will loose points.
