Students must create their own piece of Cold War Propaganda using original images. They must include a paragraph explaining the concept/image that is represented on their poster as well as what emotion the poster they have created is selling to the viewer.

2 rubric Korean War and American Interventions during early Cold War       popup preview  
Students are to create a timeline (can be horizontal, vertical, diagonal, etc) concerning the events of the Korean War as well as the interventions that America was involved in around the world to stop Communism. Included on the poster of the timeline will be a paragraph summarizing the events of the Korean war as well as a paragraph giving the specific reasons why America intervened in the Middle East, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.

In this assigment, you will decide whether you are for or against the dropping the the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima and Nagaski and defend your position. The essay should be 3 to 5 paragraphs, typed, spell checked and proofread. It should have an introduction explaining your position, at least one paragraph, using actual historical events which defend your position and a conclusion. Use this rubric to guide your writing.
