This Rubric is designed to assess your performance in bringing together information presented during class into a propaganda poster. Students must create their own piece of Cold War Propaganda using original images. They must include a paragraph explaining the concept/image that is represented on their poster as well as what emotion the poster they have created is selling to the viewer.

Students are to create a timeline (can be horizontal, vertical, diagonal, etc) concerning the events of the Korean War as well as the interventions that America was involved in around the world to stop Communism. Included on the poster of the timeline will be a paragraph summarizing the events of the Korean war as well as a paragraph giving the specific reasons why America intervened in the Middle East, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.

Student judges will use this rubric to help them to decide which team will win the debate.

Students will summarize the Japanese advance in the Pacific in 1941-1942 and describe the Allied victories that turned the tide of the war. Names of important battles must be included as well as important, accurate information that pertains to what the student is writing.

This rubric will be used to evaluate short-answer essays

Student's will choose one of the following topics to write to FDR to enact policy change. Students will either write for policy changes on segregation in the Armed Forces or on the Role of Women during World War II. Letter will be 3-5, typed and in letter format.

In this assigment, you will decide whether you are for or against the dropping the the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima and Nagaski and defend your position. The essay should be 3 to 5 paragraphs, typed, spell checked and proofread. It should have an introduction explaining your position, at least one paragraph, using actual historical events which defend your position and a conclusion. Use this rubric to guide your writing.

This rubric will be used to evaluate short-answer essays

This rubric evaluates the students ability to incorporate historical facts to create an intresting, and thought provoking journal entry.
