This rubric assesses a student's performance during in-class activities, including computer-based learning activities and 'unplugged' activities that do not use the computers. Elements such as participation, pro-activity, skill proficiency, and follow-through are assessed in varying degrees according to the rubric.

This assessment will be used to evaluate what level of art middle school art students have attained from year to year.

Create a magazine cover that looks like a real magazine. Choose the title of the publication. Then, be sure you include a title, photos, headline articles, dateline and follow a monthly theme. Be creative and make the finished product look as professional as possible. Be aware of the marketability and audience appeal of your magazine. Follow all your desktop publishing guidelines using InDesign and Photoshop. The final project must be an Indesign document.

This rubric breaks the ISTE Standards for Students (2016) into manageable chunks for assessment of student use of Technology.
