The purpose of this unit is to facilitate student learning about the world in which we live. Students will receive a 'International Travel Packety' packet to complete. The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit a minimum for 8-10 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their assigned country. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research in order to be able to answer questions about their assigned country’s resources, culture, government, religion, geography, political atmosphere, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and write a report about their country and then create a power point presentation to go with their report.

You will work with Google Docs to show where your arrondissement is, the main attractions there, and pick one monument/attraction (each, so two total) that you will share with the class. Both you and your partner must have the same amount of lines, and you are allowed to use one 3 x 5 card with a maximum of 50 words (for both of you), though you will get the highest score by not using any paper references.
