International Travel Project
The purpose of this unit is to facilitate student learning about the world in which we live. Students will receive a 'International Travel Packety' packet to complete. The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit a minimum for 8-10 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their assigned country. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research in order to be able to answer questions about their assigned country’s resources, culture, government, religion, geography, political atmosphere, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and write a report about their country and then create a power point presentation to go with their report.

French Monuments Project
You and your partner will be creating an online project on one arrondissement in Paris that you will be sharing with the class. You will work with Google Docs to show where your arrondissement is, the main attractions there, and pick one monument/attraction (each, so two total) that you will share with the class. Factual details about the monument • How tall is it? (how big) • When was it built? • Why was it built? • Who built it? • Are there any interesting facts for the visitor? Factual details for the tourist • What are the opening hours of the monument? • How many tourists visit the monument each year? • How do you get to the monument by public transport? • When is the monument open? • How much does it cost to visit the monument? Both you and your partner must have the same amount of lines, and you are allowed to use one 3 x 5 card with a maximum of 50 words (for both of you), though you will get the highest score by not using any paper references.

Reflexive Verbs Project
You will create a poster of 10 different scenes that depict your daily routine. Each scene must include at least one sentence with details telling what you do as part of your daily routine. Be sure your scenes go in a chronological order from first to last. Each scene will also include a neat detailed drawing, photo, or clip art depicting the part of your daily routine that the sentence is about. A minimum of 7 frames must contain the use of different reflexive verbs. The purpose of the assignment is to demonstrate your understanding of the use of reflexive verbs, as well as when and how they are used.
