Rubric for evaluating student presentations. Select one or two criteria to evaluate performance.

Students will create an informational poster or digital presentation.

You will create a poster or a google doc about the famous musician You must research information about the artist, select a few facts from his/her life. You may use some quote/s about the musician and his/her pictures Your written narrative must include a short biography of the musician. Please no copy and paste text!

The students will put together a presentation to show their oral demonstration of their posters. The oral presentation must include a brief bio of the selected musician, his/her major music achievements, quotes and personal feedback regarding selected music and the musician.

You will choose a musician of Jazz and Blues era to study. You must research information about your artist, select a few facts from his/her life, choose a few songs that interest you the most, find quote/s about the musician and a few pictures from different periods of his/her life. Your written narrative must include a short biography of the musician, artist's quotes, description of the song/s that you picked and the reason why you've selected this musician to study and images.

Create "My Favorite Thing" melody using 2-4 measures, basic rhythms, and at least three different pitches.

This rubric is used to evaluate a small ensemble performance in music class. Students will critique in discussion ensemble's performance of a musical selection.

The students will pick one Jazz/Blues musician to create a poster, and present their findings to the class. The project should include biographical information, interesting facts and musical achievements of the musician. This presentation should include some form of media as a visual or auditory aid to enhance the project.

Participation in music class. Reflects on student's attitude, participation, engagement, vocal and instrumental technique.

This rubric provides a guide for grading students in their singing performance during music class.

Students demonstrate their ability to play a keyboard using repertoire of MATB songs.

Used for assessment for Pre-K. Using this rubric students will 1) use percussion instruments to demonstrate the beat 2) use instruments to identify right and left hand.

Used for assessment for kindergarten. Using this rubric students will 1) use body percussion and/or marching to show steady beat 2) use a variety of rhythmic classroom instruments to show steady beat.

The following rubric is a checklist for singing skills. In order for you and I to analyze your current vocal skills, you will record your or your partner's singing, then listen to the recording in order to give a constructive feedback regarding the singing skills.
