Student will conduct a live interview with a person. The student will create at least ten questions that will give the person the opportunity to discuss his/her thoughts and feelings about his/her life. The questions should be researched based. There should be at least 3-4 open ended questions included in the interview.

Rubric used to assess students on a playing test.

This assignment requires the student producer to Establish a basic mood—tranquility, anxiety, reverence, anger, patriotism, spirituality, or whatever—entirely through your selection of subject matter and the use of camera angles and lighting techniques.

Student will create a movie strip highlighting important events in their life. The student will also create a soundtrack to accompany their movie. They will then create a persuasive essay to promote their movie and soundtrack.

Students were asked to demonstrate their ability to create vibrato. They also needed to maintain a steady tempo/rhythmic accuracy when playing the exercise of their choice.

Students will create their own 8 bar melody that contains the characteristics of melody. (Memorable, repetitive, singable)

Students and teacher will use this rubric to assess the marching band season as it progresses.

Chorale composition. Areas of study include: notation, intervals, chords and chord tones in concert Bb, labeled chord tone transitions (passing tones, suspensions, anticipations, neighboring tones), harmonic analysis (roman numerals). Assignment will include a mastery level exercise for basic knowledge of music composition by writing an 8 measure chorale composition and by composing a melody that fits with the chorale, which will be performed by the composer (yeah, that's you).

Students in the D. C. Everest Senior High Band program are expected to be punctual, prepared, and exhibit a good work ethic, attitude and responsibility. _______________________________________________________
