Students will research a type of severe weather and create an informative presentation.

At the completion of this lesson, students will be able to demonstrate how to navigate through pre-selected WebSites and use research skills to find answers to Scavenger Hunt questions. Students will also be able to maneuver through a prepared form, adding text to the form.

Using publisher students will research a state on the internet and fill in the information in their own words using the info on the template. This project was modeled and guided by the teacher and took place over a 5 day period. They were given studyhall opportunities as well. The focus of this project is on basic research skills as well as typing using capitals for names and proper nouns and correct punctuation and spacing. Spelling is not a main priority, but is considered as well. The total is 40 points possible

This rubric is designed to help students combine the sound editing skills of Audacity with their PhotoStroy skills.

This assignment integrates use of the computer lab with basic writing skills. The student is to write a one page story in Microsoft Word. Attached to the paper should be an illustration (graphic image either created by student or copied from internet source) related to the story.

Scoring guide for research & technology computer skills

Builds an acrostic based on animal research done in the classroom. Word processes the acrostic, formats it, uses spell check, proofreads, and inserts a picture of the animal.

Students must demonstrate basic internet skills by launching the internet, use popular search engines to locate topics and save a website to favorites.

Students can earn from 0-10 points per class based on their behavior and participation during class. For all K-5 Students!!

Used to assess progress in English Language Learning through self-guided or teacher-directed work in the computer lab.
