Students will research a Supreme Court case that is Criminal Justice related (no civil cases) that is no older than 2000 and provide the case history, parties involved, the ultimate decision, and the dissent position.

This assignment topic will be of your choosing and will be related to Criminal Justice. You are expected to take your topic deeper and utilize other resources such as scholarly journals or publications accessible to you via BVU resources/library. This assignment must be a minimum of 5 pages and contain at least 4 credible references. You may use other resources that you may find on the web (excluding Wiki types), but they will not count as one of the 4 credible professional resources. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support your topic, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography. This paper is to be APA format.

Students are to complete a weekly current events report using the following rubric as part of their Weekly Criminal Justice Current Events Project.
