The final project requires you to create a four page wiki: Introduction, Lesson Plan (ASSURE Model with ABCD objectives), Student Page, and Teacher Resources. The lesson plan and resources should cover 5 days of instruction Late projects will not be accepted. Total points available 150.

Participants develop effective classroom lessons and assessments to meet student and program needs, using online resources, and modifying the lesson to meet the specifications of the lesson plan rubric, and then teach the lesson to the intended audience.

PES Lesson Plan Rubric

This evaluation provides a step by step method for addressing key procedures needed in lesson plan development.

You will write 1 unit plan, Power Point presentation to introduce the unit, 3 lesson plans (one of therse lessons will be a lesson with a technology piece) and a grading rubric for one of your lessons within the unit of study.

Two lesson plans will be written in full by following the D'Youville lesson plan. These two lessons will be part of the unit presented .

Student will plan and teach an age appropriate lesson for their intern class. The lesson plan will include all parts studied in class and state standards for that curriculum area.

Lesson plan must be submitted in Moodle by the date and time indicated in the Lesson plan forum. There will be deductions for plans 1 or 2 days late. Lesson plans more than 2 days late will not be marked. ****NOTE - if the original version is to be marked, there must be a posting in your area indicating this by the due date.

The students will design lesson plans to be presented during classroom observations by the university supervisor who will use this rubric to grade the lesson plans and presentations.

Research tell us that the more connections we make,the more learning will occur. Choose a topic appropriate to a specific grade level. Using the New York State Curriculum Standards and the New York City standards develop a unit of study that spans four curricular areas. Literacy must be one area, you can choose from : math,science, social studies, art, or music for the other three areas. You will give a one page rationale for your choice. You will give a one page listing of your major desired major outcomes. You will create four lesson plans, one for each subject area and intergrate literacy skills into each of those lessons. .
