Create a collage, including words and pictures that describe the topic(s) of health that we are covering for the week.

Students will lead a group-designed 45-minute fitness workout demonstrating body movements and anatomical parts of the muscular system. These workouts can be either a yoga session or a strength/endurance workout.

Using the dmv.virginia.gov website create your own custom license plate. On the 22" x 14" paper that is provided draw the license plate that you designed.The license plate can be anywhere on the paper and should measure 9" x 6". The drawing should look as close to the actual plate on the computer. On the back describe why you chose that plate and the letters and numbers.

Students in groups of 3-5 will create their own rhythmic activity that they will teach to elementary/primary school students. Must be: 200 counts minimum, direction and level change, beginning/middle/end, accurate. A video must accompany each presentation that includes everyone in the group. 1. Clothing- do you look ready to be active? 2. Is there a step-by-step guide in the video? 3. Target Audience- age appropriate? 4. Proficiency- Can you perform the movements from memory

Students will have multiple class periods to work on the assignments. Assignment 1 is to fill out the Physical Activity Pyramid. Then they will write SMART Goals based off of their Physical Activity Pyramid and what they plan on doing for their Physical Activity Plan, Assignment 2. Assignment 3 will then be to use a Physical Activity Log to monitor their progress for a week. Assignment 4 will then be to write a research paper detailing what they have found pertaining to community resources.

Students will create a board game using the information they have gathered through notes, videos, and any other source we used in class. The game needs to come with instructions so that people playing can understand the rules and purpose.

Student demonstrates ability to accurately execute key components of Tchoukball.

This project would be for a middle school health (8). The number of slides depends on the number of people in the group.The requirements include; what is the disease; cause; signs and symptoms; incubation period; treatment; prognosis; prevention; foundations dedicated to research about the disease; and well known people who suffer from the disease. Slides can include appropriate graphics/pictures. Also include a title slide and a works cited/reference slide with at least 3 sources.

Students will be divided into groups to create workout videos based on the knowledge they have acquired throughout class or researched workout routines. The video(s) must be a total of 20 minutes, that can be done in one 20 minute video or broken up into smaller videos that range from 3-10 minutes. Each video or section should have a focus, i.e., cardiovascular or flexibility.

When selecting a topic, keep in mind the due date for topic choice and how well your topic can inform and address all areas of the rubric.

The purpose of this is to redesign our current traffic flow around the high school to create more safety and improve efficiency. This will be a two part project. The first part is to draw a map of what your design would look like. The second part is to create a Google Doc to clarify the changes that you made and why they were made.
