You will write 1 unit plan, Power Point presentation to introduce the unit, 3 lesson plans (one of therse lessons will be a lesson with a technology piece) and a grading rubric for one of your lessons within the unit of study.

Research the approved topic. Submit 5 typed pages publishing the results of your research. Include a Reference page with at least 5 references used in researching the paper. Paper will be graded on sufficiency of research to support the thesis, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, and relevance of included information. Grade will be based on organization, clarity, use of transitions, appropriate voice, correct citation format, grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Familiarize yourselves with existing research and theoretical writings pertinent to your topic. Find the best empirical (data-based) article you can that addresses this topic. Describe the article you reviewed, its methods and findings, strengths and weaknesses. Make recommendations for further refining research in this area, including concrete suggestions (e.g., additional theoretical considerations, highlighting relevance of group-specific variables or alternative measures for key constructs) for a possible replication and extension of the study you review.

Choose a Research Article related to patient care/disease/condition, etc that reviews research related to the current unit topic, choose from a scholarly journal of your choice. Article must be a recent issue (last 5 years). Be sure to provide an electronic copy of your article because you'll need to turn it in with your paper.

Using a pre-existing song, create a music video (using iMovie, MovieMaker or Photostory) to include outside visuals and transitions

This rubric will be used with your lesson plans. You must include at least a concept attainment lesson, a direct instruction lesson teaching a learning strategy, and a lecture-discussion lesson.

Lesson plan must be submitted in Moodle by the date and time indicated in the Lesson plan forum. There will be deductions for plans 1 or 2 days late. Lesson plans more than 2 days late will not be marked. ****NOTE - if the original version is to be marked, there must be a posting in your area indicating this by the due date.
