The purpose of this unit is to facilitate DRA administration and preparation for administration of focused instruction to students at-risk for reading failure. Students are required to choose a subject, assess and prepare an intervention at the student's instructional level. This presentation will give a sneak preview into the student's ability to assess, and use assessment data to make appropriate and focused decisions to meet the needs of their subject.

Teams will choose topics - e.g. AT Reading, etc., develop a detailed presentation and display based on their research. Students will synthesize the information and develop a 3-D display along with a brochure, poster board, and live NGO or Power Point presentations.

Student teachers will tutor an exceptional student for 30 minutes x 10 weeks, using diagnostic/prescriptive strategies of course EDSN403B.

The student groups will develop and teach lessons based on different fields/topics for different levels as guided by the national primary and secondary social studies syllabi. These lessons will be developed with EDSN404B: Inclusive Classrooms course and presented as a collaborative model.

Choose a Research Article related to patient care/disease/condition, etc that reviews research related to the current unit topic, choose from a scholarly journal of your choice. Article must be a recent issue (last 5 years). Be sure to provide an electronic copy of your article because you'll need to turn it in with your paper.
