YouTube Dance Competition
This Rubric is used to score a YouTube dance competition.

In groups, students will draw a life size outline of the human body on a sheet of butcher paper. On the right half of the body, draw and label the muscular system. On the left side of the body, draw and label the skeletal system. Grading will be as described below. A zero will be given for any work less than poor listed below. All groups must have their team name in bold, large print at the top center of the butcher paper.

Group Poster Rubric
Working in groups of three to four, students will work collaboratively on a presentation to the class based on the in class work and each group member's solution of the geographic challenges faced in Mesopotamia. Each group will prepare short presentation to the class on their topic. Each group presentation shall include a poster prepared by the group illustrating the group’s particular solution.

Technique Class Rubric
Students will teach a technique class to their peers encompassing a proper warm-up, across the floors exercises, and a brief combo. The style of the class should be consistent throughout the entire class, as well as have some level of difficulty to challenge peers.

At the beginning of each class, we will warm up vocally, physically, and warm up our minds. This is the rubric I will use to grade the students ability to lead these warm ups.

Warm Up Choreography Project
Students will work in groups of 4 or 5. Each group will choose a song to choreograph a warm-up routine. Each group must work together to create a routine that they will memorize and teach together to the rest of the class. This routine should incorporate multiple stretches, relaxation techniques, and body and mind focusing activities, as well as help the group feel energized and prepared to work together throughout the class time. The routine must be able to be done by all classmembers.

Dance Research Paper Final Project
Students will complete a research paper on a topic of their choice (not a biography) related to dance. Students should include significant information on their chosen topic and why it is important to the world of dance. The paper should include at least 4 credible sources cited within the work and should be 3-4 pages in length, 12 pt font single spaced. There should be a title page and a works cited page that do not count toward the required length of 3-4 pages.
