The students will put together a poster for display. The poster will contain a Venn diagram or side by side comparable of their favorite eating out meal, look up any and all nutritional information they come to find out about this type of food.The they will research their school meal and do a venn diagram. Drawing up some type of conclusion about which is better for you. Then they will research how long they would have to exercise to burn off the meal adding this to their poster.

Students will have created and maintained a blog on a chosen health topic. The blog will be spontaneously checked by the teacher four times throughout the semester using the following rubric.

The students will put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the nutritional status of a WHO member country, and the health ststus of the population. The poster will be designed on poster board (1/2 or full-sized poster board). Should contain map, and vital statistics for the country.

Create a flyer one would find in a bathroom stall at a club. It should be informative, interesting and persuasive to YOUR age group. It should inform about the dangers of drinking, how it works, effects and where to get help. Include a section to help the stall occupant to successfully refuse drinking, and maintain meaningful friendships. The refusals should be something fun, smart and believable that someone could go back to the party and use & remain friends.

The student will develop an understanding of HIV/AIDS in terms of contraction, symptoms, and prevention. The student will be assigned a group, complete an oral group presentation to the class on HIV/AIDS, and provide the intsructor with supporting information.
