Students were to write an essay answer to an extended response question that included a restatement of the question,details and examples to support the answer, and a link back to the question.

Making your own Map

Students are going to create a map of a state or island that they are going to make up. They must give the state/island a name, a description of what it is like in their state/island and draw a map of it. It can be any shape, color, and form of their choice, but it must be creative. Also, it must have a key, compass rose, cardinal directions, mountains, and rivers. We are creating thematic maps so there must be borders. They will work 4 in a group.
