GRADE 4th SCIENCE NOTEBOOK RUBRIC
This rubric will assess your Science notebook. Your notebook will be graded according to the following criteria using 5 levels.

Oregon Trail Journal
You will write detailed entries from the point of view of your Oregon Trial character. This journal should be decorated with illustrations (can be hand drawn or computer image) and have at least five entries. This is to be completed in a three-ring binder notebook.

Task 4 - Power Point
ELACC.5.W.7 Conduct short research projects that use several sources to build knowledge through investigation of different aspects of a topic. Students were expected to gather information about a United States President from their teacher, a book, and an online video. Students were to take notes and then use those notes to create a Power Point Presentation about their President.

POWER POINT PRESENTATION
Student is to create a power point presentation of at least two slides (excluding introductory or ending page) that discusses your symbol for Texas as well as at least 4 of Texas' symbols. Slides are to include accurate information and pictures. Student must present information & power point presentation to the class.

Research Project and Presentation
The students will assemble a project depicting an aspect of Aztec life. The group presentation must be accompanied by a written report prepared independently by each student group. The report should include a detailed description of the student's newly acquired knowledge (in other words, what the student learned), the resources used, and a discussion of the advantages or disadvantages of working in a cooperative group.

Oral Presentation
Students will research one French-Speaking country. Students will then prepare an oral presentation in which they will discuss the tourism for their given states. Each student will need to prepare note cards that have the following information: The source where you obtained the information, the author of that source, and the information from the source. The student will be graded on three criteria, These criteria are eye contact, vocal projection, knowledge of the topic.

United States Regions Project
