Student Rubric: Engineering Design Process
Using the Engineering Design Process, think about activities to include in the School's Fall Festival. Make a product then write to explain how you used the process to accomplish.

Students work with their family's to create a family tree. This activity is teaching students to complete tree diagrams while learning about their family. Students must also include the climatic conditions in the country their family are from or where a member if the family llives that is similar or different to where the student lives. Student must include a picture of a family pet and wriite his name name, and also a picture of a plant they have in their garden at home.

Character
Students will create a character from a book they have read. They will use a brown and/or white (1 pound size) paper bag to create the main and another character from the story. They must dress the character by illustrating their clothing and features. They must also write a sentence about what each character says or does.

Compare and Contrast Two Animal Groups
Students sorted pictures of two different animal groups magazines showing how the are alike and different. They labeled each picture to differentiate different animals within each group. They then had to compare and contrast two of animals within their group. Last they will write facts that compare them.
