Students used science kids, national geographic, and Ducksters websites for research. Their job was to research with one partner and :1) identify natural disaster 2) identify and write at least 3 facts about two natural disasters 3) draw their selected natural disasters using Padlet.com (https://padlet.com/MrsTomlinson/NDP4B).

Students will investigate a natural disaster. Student will discuss the causes of the natural disaster, the geographic location the disaster takes place, and the worst occurrences of this disaster.

Students will read and research a famous person using books, magazines, and the internet. After completing their research, students will write down important facts about the person's early life and accomplishments. Students will write a biography that will include a important facts, a timeline, and a portrait of the person.

Students read a book and review the book they have read using persuasive language to indicate their opinion about the book. The reviewer makes a recommendation based on insights he/she may have regarding the book. It is a critical analysis of the book. Mrs. Tomlinson, Library Grades K-3

You will write a 500 word double spaced (+/- 75 words) article on the chosen presidential candidate. The article can be be an endorsement or opposition article, but it MUST address the platforms and policies the candidate plans on instituting and clearly show the perceived positive or negative effects. You will also create a colorful poster supporting the candidate. And give a short presentation about your candidate.

Students will be selecting an endangered animal and research the unique characteristics about this animal. Students will be writing about their animal, and design a presentation to aid them when sharing the traits of their animal. The presentation should tell about where their animal lives, what their animal eats, what their animal looks like, and other interesting facts about the animal they choose. Students should be prepared to answer questions about their animal from their peers.
