Solve a problem involving discount, sale price and tax.

You will develop and teach a lesson. The presentation could be in the form of a Power Point, Video, Slide Show, etc. You must provide practice materials through the form of notes, questions, and/or examples for the class. Be sure to include an assessment/quiz for the end of the lesson that YOU WILL GRADE. You must submit a copy of the quiz (with answers) to your math teacher BEFORE YOUR PRESENTATION. Rubric criteria is listed below.

Students will research a type of weather phenomenon and create an informative visual presentation (PowerPoint, poster, or model). Model criteria may not apply to all weather phenomenon.

Students will be able to compute the cost savings and new price using percent deduction and calculation. Students will design six red tag sale items including: a picture of the item, the original cost, the percentage off, the savings, and adjusted price. Finished items will be mounted and displayed.

Students will create a video that will be 3 to 5 minutes in length. Examples include: weather newscast, interview or skit on the weather etc. The video must include each partner speaking. All members of the team will contribute and participate in the video. You may use others for your video.
