Students create a brochure for a self-selected neurological condition. Audience are patients with this condition and their families.

Students will research the periodic table and create a poster, ppt or sway based upon an element they choose. They will present it to the class and tell about the element they selected. Include history of discovery, name, symbols, abbreviations, atomic numbers, atomic masses, groups, etc. in a manner that allows people to understand the working concepts and information that is demonstrated in the P.T of elements. Must include photos of the element and it's uses. 3 sources required

Create an ecosystem poster that will consist of a real or imaginary ecosystem. label the abiotic and biotic factors, food webs and levels of organizations within the ecosystem. At least 2 producers and 3 consumers must be represented, as well as water,oxygen/CO2 and nitrogen cycle label the following: consumers, autotrophs, and heterotrophs as well as connect abiotic and biotic facts

The students will work on their own to create a 3D model of an animal cell or plant cell. The 3D model will contain all of the cell organelles including cell membrane and cytoplasm. Students will model the cell and organelles accurately, with labels and definitions/functions, in a creative and colorful manner. The materials the student choose to use is up to them, but the 3D model must be neat and can stand on its own.

Students will be building a terrarium and aquatic ecosystem using the guidelines given. The system will be monitored daily for 2-3 weeks. Students will also be create diagrams and explanatory paragraphs for the carbon, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide / oxygen cycles , as well as man's possible disruption of these cycles. A daily log/data will be kept on the growth and development of the ecosystem

Students will research an animal from one of the 30+ phyla Students will research their animals' classifications , cellular composition, organ systems, habitat, diet and purpose in the ecosystem. Students will present their findings using power point, prezi or similar formats. Include pictures of the animal and its environment, descriptive diagrams of circulatory, neurological and digestive systems.

In this project you will investigate the chemistry of common household products. Students will work to produce a presentation on cell organelles. Each student in will be responsible for representing the organelle/s assigned. Their presentation must clearly demonstrate: 1) the structure and primary function(s) of the organelle; 2) how the organelle interacts with other organelles in the human cell. 3) the importance of the organelle to normal cellular function; and 4) a model or other graphic representation of their organelle.
