The students will demonstrate their ability to recognize the three body types in a creative and colorful poster/pictures or scenarios display.

Student is to create a power point presentation of 10 slides (excluding introductory, reference and concluding page) that discusses the problem, introduce the advocacy materials, and make a call to action. Slides are to include accurate information and pictures. Student must present information & power point presentation to the class. Information must be in depth; student will give appropriate credit to where information was gathered - NO PLAGIARISM. Must be STUDENT ORIGINAL.

The student is to develop a food label for a product. The label must include nutritional value as well as product logo. The nutritional value should include calories, fat content and persenctages, carbohydrates, and proteins.

In teams create and illustrate a healthy living poster. Use text and image to get your point across.

Illustrate or cut and paste a healthy food item. Write a descriptive paragraph outlining the nutritional benefits of the food item and what nutrient(s) are in this item.

Upon learning the characteristics of index, glossary, appendix and magazine, create a magazine that has an editorial and news story.

Students will create a special interest magazine in order to review article writing techniques. Additionally, students will be introduced to photojournalism, design, and advertising concepts that they must use when creating their magazine.

Students will follow directions given in activity.
