The student will present to the class their research on a famous Latino/a and the Caribbean country from which he/she is from. This presentation will be done in Powerpoint. This information will include: a flag and a map of their country, among some country facts; principal religion, president, population, location and climate. Among some key facts about the famous person chosen: Where is he/she from? How old is the famous person? Why is he/she famous?

Students will create a presentation about a Spanish speaking famous person and the Spanish country they are from. They must include a cover page, A ONE PAGE REPORT, SINGLE SPACED. Geography, historical timeline for when Independence took place and any historical key figures., A ONE PAGE REPORT, SINGLE SPACE.

Choose a Famous person who was born in a Spanish-speaking country or had parents who were born in a Spanish-speaking country. Research the person and write a 1 page (single spaced) report on your findings along with a separate page that tells me where you found all information. You will present the major information you learned about this person to the class and include a visual aids , poster, brochure,video, etc . You will not be allowed to have notes during oral presentation.

You and your classmates will be taking a trip to a Spanish speaking country. Like any good tourist, you must prepare yourself before you visit in order to get the most from your trip! You will need to research your country to learn about their culture, weather & climate, currency of the country, religion, foods, housing, famous landmarks and government. Part 1 (RESEARCH & FORMAT), Part 2 (DRAW IT!) - Map & Flag and Part 3 (Oral Presentation) - Speaking & Culture

The students will write a one page, single space report and present the information orally to the class. The student has the choice of presenting the material in a Power Point presentation, or on a display board. The use of illustrations, pictures, color, neatness, creativity, correct grammar, spelling and punctuation will determine the amount of points assessed.
