This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your PowerPoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

Write a letter to an imaginary French pen pal. In your letter, you must write complete sentences in which you: introduce yourself, discuss likes and dislikes, describe school schedule and family.

Used for Written tasks such as compositions, e-mails, letters, dialogues, stories

Write a letter to your penpal answering the given questions about your eating habits.

• Each student must ask at least three separate questions that begin: <<Combien de/d'...>>>, <<Est-ce que tu as un/une/des...>>, and <<Comment s'appelle ton/ta/tes...>> • Each student must respond to the questions asked in complete sentences. • Each dialogue must use mon, ma, mes, ton, ta, and tes at least once.

• Each student has at least 7 lines • Each student asks questions about at least three periods of the day • Each student answers in complete sentences • Each student asks whether or not his/her partner likes classes mentioned • Each student uses expressions on page 54 to respond about likes/dislikes, or make comments about likes/dislikes of his/her partner • One point extra credit if dialogue uses <<Moi, si.>> CORRECTLY.

• Song at least 2 minutes when performed • Mention infinitive and English translation twice • Chorus repeated 4 times with six conjugations and subjects • Have 3 different verses that do 3 of the following: (1) say complete sentences (in French) with the verb conjugated, (2) spell (in French) each of the six conjugations, (3) clarify meaning ("je suis means I am"), (4) mention unique conjugation rules (in English), (5) give tips (in English) for remembering conjugations

3 person skit; 2 clients, 1 serveur/serveuse Include the following: 1. Trying to decide what to order, asking the server if there are certain ingredients in some of the dishes. 2. Ordering: 3 courses and one drink (l’entrée, le plat principal, le fromage ou le dessert, la boisson) 3. Conversation at the table about the food. Clients saying if they like what they ordered. Server checking to see if the clients are satisfied. 4. Paying the check.

Include at least 4 options in each category with prices in Euros, descriptions under each food item listed with at least three main ingredients, in French

• speak in complete sentences • greet one another • say where you are going on vacation (different from partner) • say at least two activities you are going to do when you go there using futur proche and sequence words • ask at least two questions and give at least two statements of advice on what to pack considering where your partner is going, what he/she likes to do, and the possible weather conditions • say goodbye • speak at least 5 times (not including greetings)
