Black History Month Biographies
For Black History Month, the student is to read a biography about an African American, and then write and present a biography poster on this important historical figure. This biography includes information about the person's life, what led them to their chosen career or purpose, what contributions they made to society, interesting or unique facts about the person, and the student's own reflections about the impact that the person and their contributions have on modern times.

With your partner create a chronicle of the local and national events leading to Lincoln’s assassination, details from the night of the assassination, and the events leading to the arrest of the conspirators. Make sure to involve the name of the newspaper, author(s), headline, and two-three articles explaining the events.
