Identify and research who you believe to have had the biggest impact on American Society in the last 20 years. Using MLA writing techniques, write an essay with a minimum of 1000 words and no more than 1500 words. The paper format will include a cover page (no pictures), an introductory paragraph, conclusion and bibliography page. The structure of the paper will include transitional words and at least four additional paragraphs. The paper content must inlcude place of birth, where he/she grew up, family, education (early, high school, college), major life changes (death, drugs, jail, street life, etc.), how he/she entered this lifestyle, first experience (award, recording, song, game, acting job), additional experiences (successes/failures), further growth/opportunities and what they are doing now. You must also include a list of the 20 biggest events during the last 20 years and provide a brief description of how you feel your influential person has had in impact on those events

The purpose of this unit is to facilitate student learning about the world in which we live. The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit their assigned country for 5-7 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their assigned country. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research in order to be able to answer questions about their assigned country’s resources, culture, government, religion, geography, political atmosphere, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and write a report about their country and then create a power poininto a t presentation to go with their report.
