Body System Model
This rubric is to grade student's research of a human body system, describing it's function, the main organs or body parts involved and a few major diseases or illnesses associated with that system. Students will describe the changes of this body system throughout a person's life and how this system interacts with other body systems Each student will give an oral presentation using their interactive poster/bulletin board. The board must include all key facts about the system, be creatively displayed, include ways that other students can interact with the board, such as a lift-a-flap game or puzzle. A bibliography must be pasted onto the back of the board with at least one non-internet resouce.

Moon Phases Project Presentation
A Powerpoint presentation, Poster, Moviemaker or other teacher approved project. Student project must explain in detail all aspects of the moon phases. Should include explanations of why we see different amounts of the lighted side of the moon, depending on the Earth and moon positions relative to the sun.

The students will create a place value book using 9 different numbers. They will use all the place value forms of a number with each number they choose. Each number will be written in Standard Form, Expanded Form, Word Form. The students will show a place value chart,and they will show how to add the expanded number .

Independent-Reading Book Review Rubric
Students read a book and review the book they have read using persuasive language to indicate the reader's opinion about the book. The reviewer summarizes the ideas of the book and recommends or does not recommend this book to another student based on insights he/she may have regarding the book. it is a critical analysis of the book.

Students are to research important events that took place during the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The timeline must have a minimum of 5 or more events. Each event must have the name of the event, it's date, it's location, a description of the events importance / significance, and the event must be accurate.
