Simple rubric to grade sequence of events writing. Focus: proper capitalization, punctuation, sequence order, and details.

Develop division word problems that correlate with the four ways to interpret a remainder (Share it, ignore it, round it, use it)

Students created a "Get to Know Me" poster titled "Figure Me Out." They incorporated numbers into a page by writing equations to illustrate important information about themselves.

The students wrote a narrative on a personal experience.

Book report will describe setting, characters, problem/solution and a summary.

Every month the student will complete a book report on a library book at the sixth grade level. The student has chosen to participate in "Book It" this month. This option allows the student to complete a detailed report on a book of their choice. For their extra effort, the student will be rewarded with a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut. GT students must participate in "Book It". Students with a failing grade will not be rewarded. To receive credit the rubric must be attached to the top of the book report.
