Teamwork is behaviors under the control of individual team members (effort they put into team tasks, their manner of interacting with others on team, and the quantity and quality of contributions they make to team discussions.) Two characteristics define the ways in which this rubric is to be used. First, the rubric is meant to assess the teamwork of an individual student, not the team as a whole. Therefore, it is possible for a student to receive high ratings, even if the team as a whole is rather flawed. Similarly, a student could receive low ratings, even if the team as a whole works fairly well. Second, this rubric is designed to measure the quality of a process, rather than the quality of an end product. Students will read with understanding 3 articles on goal setting. Students will demonstrate their understanding of the material read by identifying at least one goal. After the student has identified at least one goal to set. He or she will outline the goal and its attainment by creating a SMART goal outline. Students will initiate an online tracking system to monitor their goal, and they will provide a provide a "print screen" printed copy of the goal site or provide a website address for the teacher to view. Finally, students will write a 5-paragraph essay with supporting documents. The essay will include a definition of the goal, a description of how the goal was chosen along with how the goal will be achieved. Supporting documents include at least one chart outlining time spent on goal acquisition during unit of study, and a timeline outlining initiation of goal and projected progress toward goal, and date of goal completion.

Talk about who you would like to become, what you would like to achieve in school and beyond, what career your working toward, and what you would like to be known for. what you plan to do that will help you turn your goals into realities. Students will research, plan, and compose a speech in which their performance will be evaluated in terms of specific standards set in class, including the clarity and completeness of your speech and the quality of your presentation in explaining your topic matter. Non-verbal communication is highlighted. Students will have 2:30-3 minutes to deliver the speech.

Students will make a family tree in French on powerpoint. You must include at least 10 family members. You must include a combination of both immediate and extended family and you must include yourself on the tree. You must have: 1. A picture for each family member 2. A family vocabulary term 3. A possessive adjective (mon, ma) 4. The relationship of that family member to another family member. Example: Voila Catherine. C'est ma mère. Elle est la fille de ma grand-mère.

In specific groups, students will create a 30 second-1 min commercial using the Movie Maker Program. You must import a video for your commercial. Your commercial must be a story line production in which you are trying to convince someone to buy a specific product or go to a specific destination. You must have video, music and audio.
