Students select 2 TV commercials of their choice, using the analysis example used in class to assist with their understanding and analysis of the commercial. Based on their findings, students write an analysis demonstrating their critical thinking and writing skills.

Students write a one-page letter in French or Spanish including the following: name, age, describing yourself, family, school, sports and hobbies.

A student can earn from 0-10 points per class, based on his/her behavior during class. A student's Daily Participation/Behavior Grade is contingent upon how the student chooses to contribute to in-class lectures, discussions, and the overall classroom environment. This daily grade was engineered to ensure that each student is receiving the most out of his/her time in all Science classes, while also enabling parents/guardians to remain informed of their student's behavior in the classroom.

Students Listen to presentations being delivered by peers, and are graded on being a good audience member.

A rubric to use for grading creative writing assignments including poetry, short stories, and writing prompts

Plan: This rubric is designed to supplement the application of readings on short story genres that students must implement into their creative work submissions. Students are expected to meet requirements that exemplify the skills learned in class to create a compelling and well-organized fictional narrative. The rubric is in regards to MLA written forms of English, as well as respecting privacy and copyright law when working with creative works meant for submission.

Students will use 5 literary devices to write. Students were given 100 writing prompts and allowed to choose any one as inspiration to write a creative piece.

This rubric will be used in class to allow you to monitor your own progress and behavior during class time. How are you doing in class?

This rubric will be used by students as a self-evaluation tool. The teacher will also use this rubric to assess student classroom participation and behavior
